MOHBAD: Police Finally Launches Investigation After Public Outcry




 The Lagos Police Command, under the leadership of Commissioner of Police CP Idowu Owohunwa, is initiating a comprehensive investigation into the death of the singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, known as Mohbad. This action is in response to increasing public concerns and a preliminary review by the police.


To conduct this investigation effectively, a Special Investigation Team has been formed within the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID). This specialized team comprises experienced homicide detectives and is tasked with gathering and analyzing all allegations, suspicions, and insinuations related to Mohbad's death.


The goal of this investigation is to establish the facts, dispel doubts, and ensure that justice is served. The process may include various protocols, potentially even exhumation, along with the use of technical and scientific tools essential for a thorough homicide investigation.


Additionally, the Lagos State Government has expressed its full support for this initiative, with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu pledging assistance to the Special Investigation Team to guarantee a diligent investigative process and prompt delivery of justice.

Don’t spread hatred with social media, NYSC warns corps members

 The Director of the National Youth Service Corps, Major General Shuaibu Ibrahim, has warned corps members against using social media to spread wrong information and fueling hatred in the society. DG who was represented by the Akwa Ibom State Coordinator of NYSC, Chinyere Ekwe, gave the warning during the swearing-in ceremony of 1,608 Corps members deployed to Akwa Ibom State among the 2022 Batch ‘A’ Stream 1 at the Orientation Camp, Ikot Itie Udung, Nsit Atai LGA on Tuesday. NCC alerts Nigerians on new ways hackers unlock, steal vehicles, android apps

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) says it wishes to alert telecom consumers and members of the public on an ongoing cyber-vulnerability that allows a nearby hacker to unlock vehicles, start their engines wirelessly and make away with the cars. It said that the fact that car remotes are categorized short range devices that make use of radio frequency (RF) to lock and unlock cars informed the need for the Commission to alert the general public on this danger, where hackers take advantage to unlock and start a compromised car. According to the latest advisory released by the Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT), the Cybersecurity Centre for the telecom sector established by the NCC, the vulnerability is a Man-in-the-Middle (MitM) attack or, more specifically, a replay attack, in which an attacker intercepts the RF signals normally sent from a remote key fob to the car, manipulates these signals, and re-sends them later to unlock the car at will.
