Defence Intelligence Agency hunts fake recruiters

The Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA) has denied viral claims of vacancies and ongoing recruitment.

In a statement by its communications unit, the agency warned the public to be wary of “undesirable elements”.

“Efforts are being made to apprehend those behind false recruitment alerts for prosecution”, the notification read.

Established in 1986, the DIA, formerly National Security Organization (NSO), provides intelligence to the Armed Forces and Ministry of Defence
